Your wedding day deserves more than good photographs.  It deserves the real story — told honestly, beautifully and kept forever.

Ciaran O’Neill is Northern Ireland’s most awarded wedding photographer. Here you’ll find everything you need to know about investing in your wedding photography — including what’s included, what you’ll receive and why so many couples across Ireland, the UK and beyond choose to work with him.

Each package is built to capture your story naturally and beautifully, preserving the memories that matter most.

Before you look at a single price, here’s what matters most.
Ciaran O’Neill has spent 25 years photographing weddings, portraits and people. He holds 7 UK photography titles — including two-time UK Fashion Photographer of the Year — and is a Fellow of the British Institute of Professional Photographers (BIPP). He is the most awarded wedding photographer in Northern Ireland.
His background is in press and fashion photography. That means a sharp eye for a fleeting moment, confidence working under pressure and the ability to capture what’s real — not staged. His style is documentary, romantic, and cinematic: honest images that reflect the day as it actually happened, filled with genuine emotion and the kind of details couples only notice later.
He is a preferred vendor at Castle Leslie and Darver Castle and has photographed weddings across Ireland, the UK, Spain, France and beyond.
His turnaround is the fastest in Northern Ireland. You’ll have your full gallery within 7–10 days of your wedding — not months.

The Italian Album — Why It Matters
A photograph on a screen is wonderful. A photograph in your hands — printed on fine art paper, bound in hand-stitched Napa leather, designed and crafted in Italy — is something else entirely.
The Italian albums included in the top package are made by specialist craftspeople using materials that last generations. The covers are available in premium Napa leather or polished acrylic; the pages are flush-mounted, lay completely flat, and show your images edge to edge with no white borders, no interruptions. Holding one for the first time, most couples say it feels like nothing they expected.
Your album is designed personally — not from a template — to tell the story of your day from beginning to end. Every page is considered. Every spread is chosen to reflect a real moment.
Twenty years from now, when you show your children or grandchildren your wedding photographs, they won’t be scrolling through a phone. They’ll be turning pages.
What Couples Say
Sarah and James — Castle Leslie, Fermanagh
“We were genuinely blown away when our gallery arrived. We’d heard Ciaran was fast, but having everything back within a week of our wedding — edited beautifully, every moment we hoped he’d caught and so many we didn’t expect — was something else. The album arrived a few weeks later and it’s already the most treasured thing in our home. It’s not just a photobook. It feels like a piece of furniture you’d save in a fire. We can’t recommend him highly enough.”
Claire and Niall — Darver Castle, Louth
“From the first time we met Ciaran to the moment he handed us our album, the whole experience felt completely different to what we expected from a photographer. He was calm, funny, and so unobtrusive on the day that half our guests didn’t realise he was there — which is exactly why the photos are so genuine. There are images in our gallery that are more like press photographs than wedding pictures, and we mean that as the highest possible compliment. He understood our day better than we did.”
Emma and Ryan — Bellingham Castle, Louth
“We almost went with someone cheaper. We’re so glad we didn’t. The images Ciaran delivered are extraordinary — technically, artistically, emotionally. And when our Italian album arrived, my mother cried. She said it was the most beautiful thing she’d ever seen at a wedding. The leather cover, the quality of the paper, the way the whole story is told — it’s not a wedding album. It’s a legacy. Worth every penny and more.”
Frequently Asked Questions
How long will it take to receive our wedding photographs?
Your full edited gallery will be delivered online within 7–10 days of your wedding. This is the fastest turnaround in Northern Ireland — most photographers take weeks or months. You’ll have everything back before most guests have even finished asking when the photos will be ready.
What exactly is included in the Italian wedding album?
The album is handcrafted in Italy by specialist makers using premium materials. The cover is available in Napa leather (a soft, full-grain leather with a natural finish) or polished acrylic, with a range of colours and finishes to choose from. Inside, images are flush-mounted on fine art paper and printed to the edge of each page, with no white borders. Pages lay completely flat when open. The album is designed personally around your day — not from a template — and is built to last generations.
Do you travel for weddings outside Northern Ireland?
Yes. Ciaran photographs weddings across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland as standard, and regularly travels to England, Scotland, France, Spain, and further afield for destination weddings. International packages are priced at the standard package rate with travel costs added. If you’re planning a wedding outside Ireland or the UK, get in touch and Ciaran will put together a straightforward quote.
How do we secure our wedding date?
Once you’ve decided to go ahead, a deposit of £200 secures your date. Your date is not confirmed or held until this deposit is in place. Given that most couples book 12–18 months in advance, it’s worth getting in touch sooner rather than later — particularly for peak season dates between May and September.
What happens if something goes wrong on the day — equipment failure, illness, or an emergency?
Ciaran takes reliability seriously. He always attends weddings with a full set of backup equipment, and keeps a duplicate set at home as an additional safeguard. Your images are backed up to multiple physical locations and cloud storage immediately after the wedding, so your photographs are protected from the moment they’re taken. In the unlikely event of a genuine emergency that prevents Ciaran from attending, he has a network of trusted professional photographers he can call upon, and you would be notified and supported as a priority.
Can we meet before booking?
Yes, and it’s encouraged. A short consultation — by phone, video call, or in person at the studio in Lurgan — gives you the chance to ask questions, discuss your day, and get a real sense of whether Ciaran is the right fit for you. There’s no pressure and no obligation. Most couples find that a conversation answers far more questions than a website can.
We’re not comfortable in front of a camera. Will that be a problem?
Not at all. Ciaran’s approach is specifically designed for people who feel awkward or self-conscious in photographs. Sessions are relaxed, unhurried, and built around genuine interaction — not posed portraits. His background in press photography means he’s at his best when capturing real moments, not directing people to hold a smile. The couples who are most nervous beforehand are often the ones who are most delighted with their photographs.
Do you photograph engagement sessions?
Yes. Engagement sessions are available as a standalone booking, and are included in certain wedding packages. They’re a genuinely useful way to spend an hour together before the wedding — it gives you a chance to see how Ciaran works, how he makes a session feel easy, and what kind of images you can expect on the day itself. Many couples find it significantly reduces any nerves they have about being photographed.
Ready to Check Availability for Your Date?
Wedding dates book up 12–18 months in advance — particularly for May through September. If you have a date in mind, the best thing you can do is check whether it’s still available.
Get in touch today and Ciaran will come back to you personally, usually within 24 hours.
